Seaweed treatments are great for softening and remineralizing the skin while
relaxing the body. Seaweed is a part of the greater family of life-giving
substances known as algae which has long been recognized for its many positive
and healing characteristics. Some known effects of algae include its ability to
improve circulation thus aiding in moisturization and cell renewal and its high
vitamin and mineral content which helps to stimulate metabolism, facilitate
cellular exchanges and balance and accelerate elimination of toxins.
The treatment begins with a gentle dry brush exfoliation followed by the
application of a seaweed and peppermint mask. The client is then wrapped. Either
our Steamy Wonder steam canopy or warm wool blankets are used to provide heat.
After 20 minutes, the exfoliation is completed when our technician thoroughly
rinses you with the soothing and massaging shower heads of our Vichy Shower. The
treatment is concluded with the application of a seaweed moisturizer.
