Pneumatic Lymphatic Drainage (Pressotherapy)   Return

Pneumatic Lymphatic Drainage is a treatment technique in which a specially designed compression garment is used to create a modulated pressure gradient in the areas being treated. The treatment improves venous return thus promoting an increase in lymphatic drainage, helping to decrease the heavy, tired feeling and bloating often associated with fluid retention.

The benefits of Pneumatic Lymphatic Drainage include improved venous return, increased lymphatic drainage, improved circulation, decreased edema and fluid retention, decreased feeling of heaviness, tiredness and bloating in the area or areas being treated, decrease in appearance of spider veins, decrease in fatty deposits, and shaplier, more attractive legs.

Indications:

  • Heavy or tired legs at the end of the day
  • Presence of spider veins or early stages of varicose veins
  • Edema and excessive water retention or bloating
  • Excessive cellulite or unwanted fatty deposits
  • Post Mastectomy lymphadema (with doctor’s approval only)
  • Pre and post liposuction

Best results are achieved when treatments are performed on a regular basis. Although recommendations may vary, clients are generally encouraged to schedule 2 to 3 treatments per week until desired results are achieved, at which point a maintenance program will be prescribed.

Vacuomobilization

Vacuomobilization of the Face

Vacuomobilization is a treatment technique that has been used in Europe for years to firm loose skin, improve skin tone and decrease appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by improving skin mobility, increasing capillary permeability and facilitating improved lymphatic drainage. In this technique, the skin is mobilized by means of a cupping glass. The suction effect causes stretching and detachment of the skin from the underlying layers vertically and towards the surface. The relative vacuum created at the surface of the skin causes a major increase in the liquid exchanges stimulated in this way through the capillary walls and improves lymphatic flow.

Vacuomobilization is an effective therapy for:

  • Improving skin tone of loose and flabby skin under the chin
  • Improving scar mobility and thus helping to minimize appearance of scars
  • Helping to decrease healing time of scars following plastic or other types of surgery
  • Improving blood flow and lymphatic drainage
  • Decreasing the appearance of fine lines on the face and neck
  • Promoting more even tones and coloration in the face

Best results are achieved when treatments are performed on a regular basis. Although recommendations may vary, clients are generally encouraged to schedule 2-3 treatments per week until desired results are achieved, at which point a maintenance program will be prescribed.
